*The event has already taken place on this date: Thu, 08/20/2026
Have you ever wanted to learn more about bats? Join us for a fun night of community science. We’ll be learning all about our local bat populations and then participating in the Bat Activity Trends (BAT) project. This community science program helps to track bat activities in parks across the region. Be prepared to explore the park just after sunset and help make counts on these fascinating flying friends! No experience necessary. All ages welcome. Please note: we require participants aged 14 and under to volunteer with a parent or guardian at a ratio of 1 adult to 3 kids.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.
