Early American Heritage Festival- 4th of July Weekend

Join us for a patriotic weekend and step back in time to the 18th century! Historical exploration and family-friendly fun at the Northwest Early American Heritage Festival in Port Gamble. Military demonstrations, colonial crafts and skills, fife and drum music, and historical presentations where there is something for everyone!

Uncover the Conflict and Unity of Early America: Explore the tumultuous history that shaped our nation, from the conflicts that divided us to the ideals that ultimately united us.

Witness Patriot and British Colonial Military Skirmishes: Watch live demonstrations of military maneuvers, including marching, artillery and infantry on the battlefield.

Enjoy Period Arts and Crafts: Discover the artistry and craftsmanship of early America through a variety of hands-on activities and demonstrations.

Dive Into 18th Century Exploration of the Pacific Northwest: Meet reenactors of HMS Chatham’s 1791-1795 expedition, whose primary goal was charting coastal geography, recording natural resources and establishing British claims to the region.

Sing Along with the Columbia Fife & Drum Corp: Enjoy performances that capture the spirit of Early America. Tap your feet to the sound of colonial music and sing Yankee Doodle Dandy with the crowd.

Meet the Barcelona Tea Company: Learn about the tea trade in the 18th century and how the Barcelona Tea Company established trade routes and partnerships with foreign tea producers to compete with the British East India Company.
