Run with the Kokanee

Come enjoy fall running on this flat and fast 5k loop course through and around lovely Lake Sammamish State Park. About two-thirds of the route is paved, and the remainder is on dirt or grass trails. 10k runners will loop the park twice.
This is a great course for both runners and walkers. Your entry helps support the Kokanee Salmon recovery work of the Three Rivers Chapter of Trout Unlimited. The Kokanee are unique to Lake Sammamish and are in danger of becoming extinct. Some of Trout Unlimited’s work includes: protecting the Kokanee’s access to spawning areas, educating fishermen to properly identify Kokanee, educating residents about environmentally-friendly lawn care, and more.
The Three Rivers Chapter was recently awarded the King County Green Globe Award for their work on recovering the Lake Samammish Kokanee!
Participants who pre-register by October 14 receive a FREE, limited edition tech t-shirt featuring custom salmon artwork by Shaun Peterson! T-shirts come in Medium Youth – Adult XXL and are unisex. We cannot guarantee shirt availability for anyone registering after October 14 or on event-day.
