The Swedish Club | What’s happening in Seattle

The Swedish Club

The Swedish Club serves traditional Swedish food and drink with Friday night dinners every week and a monthly pancake breakfast hosted (usually) the first Sunday of every month. Most events are accompanied with live music, of many genres from local bands. Check our Program Calendar for the latest info. The club doubles as a wonderful event venue perfect for weddings, meetings, and more!

Established in 1892.

The Swedish Club's roots started in the downtown Seattle area as a place for Swedes to gather. Our current location, in South Lake Union, is a place for all people to enjoy our mid century architecture, million dollar view and learn about our rich Scandinavian history and culture. The Swedish Club has grown from modest beginnings to become a prominent presence in the Pacific Northwest community. Membership consists not only of Scandinavians, but people of many cultural backgrounds. The Swedish Club is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization with the objective of promoting a better understanding between the United States and the Scandinavian countries, through learning, practicing and celebrating the culture and traditions of Scandinavia, with an emphasis on Sweden. Completed in 1961, the current building overlooks beautiful Lake Union and downtown Seattle, and is ideally located just a few minutes north of downtown Seattle.

The Swedish Club offers a range of Scandinavian cultural classes and also house the Swedish Cultural Center, a place to become fluent in the Swedish language.
