Third Thursdays - April | Washington State History Museum

Enjoy free admission, special events, and extended hours from 3:00 to 8:00 PM every third Thursday of the month, courtesy of Umpqua Bank. Explore the significant historical and cultural role that oysters have played in the Pacific Northwest. Join authors David George Gordon, Samantha Larson, and Mary Ann Baron Wagner as they discuss their book, “Heaven on the Half Shell.” Afterward, discover why Washington’s oysters are celebrated as a world-renowned culinary delicacy in a demonstration and tasting led by master shucker David Leck.
